The second quarter of 2024 saw interesting trends in the travel and local app category on the Android platform in Ghana. Here’s an overview of the performance of the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Qatar Airways experienced fluctuations in its weekly downloads, peaking at 3.7K in the week of April 8 and hitting a low of 1.1K by the end of May. The app's weekly active users initially climbed from 6K in early April to 7.9K by mid-April but gradually declined to 5.9K by the end of June.

Ethiopian Airlines maintained a relatively stable download trend, with weekly downloads ranging between 1.2K and 2K. Active users saw a steady rise from 4.3K in early April to 5.5K by mid-June, closing the quarter at 5.2K.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 838 in the week of June 10. Its active users also showed a positive trend, starting at 18.9K in early April and reaching 20.9K by the end of June.

Currency Converter Plus experienced significant growth in downloads, from 275 in the first week of April to a peak of 1.2K in the first week of June. The app's active users increased from 4.2K in early April to 5.1K by mid-June, ending the quarter at 4.6K.

Find my Phone - Family Locator had a consistent revenue stream, peaking at $62 in the week of June 10. Weekly downloads showed a gradual decline from 1K in early April to around 400 by mid-June. Active users also decreased from 2.2K to 1.4K over the quarter.
